HURRAY... I got good GRADES!!

Oh man! I checked out "Route Y" on the BYU website which holds my grades and class schedule and all that great stuff and low and behold my grades for Winter 2011 semester were finally posted and updated! Wow I was somewhat nervous to see what I ended up with in some of my classes especially my honors writing 150 class but guess what all "A" and only two "B" I can live with that! I just can hardly believe I am a student at Brigham Young University! It's so AMAZING! I can't wait to go back in August to increase my knowledge of dance, spanish and especially the gospel of Jesus Christ!

So on a side note, I have been blogging a ton lately because well... I am at home bored almost to tears just waiting for my jobs to start... hopefully next week I will know the details for sure by tomorrow so wish me luck... I might just working 3 different jobs (Loaf & Jug, Everyday Outfitters and at a local nursery here in town maintaining plants and things) just to keep me EXTREMELY busy over the summer and well of course to make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ so that hopefully next Spring 2012 I can make a trip to Spain on a study abroad program with BYU!! That is my plan for now! So I think when I start working the many hours that I will my blog will get the shaft somewhat and so I figure I might as well put some effort into it now since I have not to much else to do!

This weekend should be pretty fun though cuz my best friends/ brothers, Garrett and Donovan, are coming into town tonight till Sunday. My house is just a stopping point of their LONG LONG trip all the way back to Columbus Ohio! We are going to go 4-wheeling and hike some probably and just try to make some last GREAT memories before they head home and before they go on their missions...wow I am going to have no guy friends next year I have realized because they will all be on missions... :( Sad Day... but not really cuz they are doing the Lords Work!!

Well ta ta for now! Can't wait to blog again!
Nos Vemos!

Time is interesting...

I can hardly believe that my BEST FRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD has been serving a mission for SIX MONTHS now! WOW time flys... I never thought that this day would come and now it is finally here...HURRAY! I am so proud of my Elder Austin Neal Page and especially grateful for his example to me! I have learned so much from him! I can hardly expression how thankful I am to missionaries like Elder Page, they are out teaching the gospel and serving others all around the world... how incredible is that! It has been really fun to know so many friends that are either on missions or planning on leaving soon to go and serve the Lord. I recently put up a map in my room and tagged all the places of where my friends will/ are serving missions... they are everywhere from Greece to Argentina to New York City...
The gospel is finally being spread all across the world for all to hear and to know of it's truthfulness! I am so extremely grateful to all of the missionaries that I know and do not know... what a difficult task they have on their hands for two years but what FABULOUS and REWARDING blessing they will get by completely loosing themselves in service for our Lord and Savior. I really do have a strong desire to one day serve a mission whether it be when I am 21 years old and serve as a single sister or when I am in my 50's and serve with my future loving eternal companion... or maybe I will have the opportunity to do both... we will see what life brings Ashley here in the next couple of years. As for now I am just at home, in Eagle CO, waiting to start some jobs I have lined up so that I can get some good money to hopefully be able to use for a study abroad program next Spring 2012!!

The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done."
~Joseph Smith

I am home just in time for EASTER!

Well the ride was kinda long to get home but finally we made it home and it was so nice to walk through that door and smell the sweet smell of home or "maple syrup"! Then we started to UNPACK...
I thought packing was bad but dang unpacking was terrible, I have so much stuff and trying to put it all in the spaces here at home... challenging!
    SHOES and stuff!!

    And then came Easter!!
We woke up pretty early because Syd couldn't hardly stand staying in bed anymore knowing that the Easter Bunny had came and maybe even brought some goodies! So we rushed outside to the living room and there everything was...how exciting! But we of course can not forget the really meaning of Easter and that is the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I am so grateful for my Savior and all that he did for me so that I could be able to return and live with my Heavenly Father once again! The Resurrection was such an incredible event that took place on this Earth and it is difficult to imagine that one day we too will be resurrected having our spirits and bodies once again become one! I can't wait for that day and can't wait to see My Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ someday!

    Pics from the Easter Weekend...

I think I might just miss Provo...

First of all I would like to start by saying... I MADE IT... my first year of college! I am so blessed to be able to say that I attend BYU, it really is a blessing because it was the university that I always wanted to attend when I was a child. It took a lot of hard work and a lot of praying and faith to get it. And now I am able to say that I offically am a BYU COUGAR!! BYU is like no other school on this Earth because it allows me to strive everyday to be as much like my elder brother Jesus Christ... the gospel is included in everything. I will have to say I am going to miss seeing people around in public reading The Book of Mormon or saying a prayer over their food before eating it or talking about church business... it just is so great to have little things like that from the gospel all around you... it's a great reminder to me of what my priorities should be or are. This is not to mention all of the wonderful devotionals and firesides and activites that are done in light of the gospel. I know that I have grow so much since being a BYU for a year... my knowledge of many things especially the gospel is greater! I was really able to maintain being myself in all that I did which is the most important thing that I can do for myself. Heavenly Father made us all very special and wants us to do our best in everything that is "good or praiseworthy," it is important that we value what we are and who we are becoming (humbly) and it is ok to look at yourself in the mirror at times and say "Hey I have done a great job"! I have learned that you can not be too hard on yourself all the time because you are not allowing yourself to be as happy as you really could be. But of course this is not the only lesson that I learned from this year of college because I have learned so many!!!!!

I am also so grateful for the wonderful friends I made... I learned so much from so many of them... I especially want to thank the following girls...

    TESS RICHMOND
    HILARY MATZDORF
    KATIE TRUMP
    JACQUIE SMITH

I love you girls so much thank you for always making me smile :) They are such beautiful girls with amazing spirits! I will miss them like CRAZY!

Where is the "good" in goodbye?

If you didn't already know... I love quotes a ton but I do not like goodbyes... :( I will really miss a lot of the amazing relationships that I have made this year. Thank you to all of you that have made a my first year at BYU so amazing, many of you made such a great difference in my life.

Sometimes you have to let go of the one you love to find out if there is really something there.
Every goodbye makes the next hello closer.

How lucky I am to have known someone who was so hard to say goodbye to.

Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?
